I don't cook for Thanksgiving. I never have, which is why you haven't seen any Thanksgiving posts on the blog. We don't do much for Christmas either, given that it's usually just the three of us on the day of.
We'll be spending Thanksgiving Day with my in-laws and Thanksgiving Friday with my parents. I've tried over the years to bring dishes to either family, but it doesn't seem to work out. Once I took a double batch of white chocolate fudge only to eat it all myself over the next few weeks after because no one even opened the container. So this will be an easy cooking week for me, and considering I've been sick off and on with a stomach bug all week, I'm looking forward to an easy one.
Sunday - Shrimp Etouffee, Salad, Bread
My husband decided this would be a good change from all the home cooked comfort food we'll be getting later in the week.
Monday - Baked Spaghetti, Salad, Bread
No real recipe here. I made a batch of spaghetti, pour it into a casserole dish, top with shredded mozzarella cheese and bake until the cheese is melted.
Tuesday - Alice Springs Chicken, Fried Potatoes, Green Beans
We haven't had this in a long time and I thought this would be a good week to have it.
Wednesday - Out
Too much to do on Wednesday getting ready for visits to think about cooking.
Thursday through Saturday - Thanksgiving visits with family
