Meal Plan Monday - October 13 - 19
The 9 year old spent the weekend entertaining both sets of grandparents, which meant, of course lots of showing off. He was pretty excited, though, that his Nana and Papaw stayed the night because they frequently don't.
Then yesterday he came home from school covered in a rash from head to toe. I'm not usually one to run the 9 year old to the doctor for any little thing. In fact, aside from check-ups, I can't remember the last time we were at the doctor. It was easily three years ago or longer. But while this rash wasn't itchy, it looked hot and inflamed. Fortunately the doctor seems to think it's just an allergic reaction to something so we're keeping him on Benadryl for a few days to see if it will clear up. The doctor's visit and accompanying anxiety, though, pretty much wiped both of us out for the rest of the day.
We're hoping for a better day today.
Sunday - Buffalo Wings, Vegetable and Fruit Plate, Fries
After shuffling it around repeatedly the last few weeks, my husband finally got his wings.
Monday - Spicy Louisiana Cajun Shrimp, Yellow Rice, Salad
These were delicious. The 9 year old doesn't care for seafood, so I diced up a chicken breast, used a little less Cajun spice and left out the adobe chilis for him. He kept saying it was spicy, but he loved it.
Tuesday - Chicken Pot Pie Soup, Bread
Wednesday - Foil Pack Tilapia, Rice, Steamed Broccoli
Thursday - Penne with Tomato Cream Sauce, Salad
I've been trying to fit this in for myself for the last few weeks.
Friday - Out/Leftovers
Saturday - Out with the in-laws for their anniversary
